The Big Day Arrived

After much anticipation and excitement the day of the pop up cake stall had arrived.

The girls had designed flyers and hung them around the school.

They planned what they would bake and wondered how the nuns might use the money we send them.

This was a fabulous team building exercise as the children were so supportive and encouraging of each other. The families and wider community became involved by baking lovely treats we could sell and sending in all sorts of donations.

The stall was fast and furious and with the assistance of the older students all the customers were served and received their correct change (well nearly!)

The generosity of the children was touching, especially the little ones who would donate their change or make a donation instead of buying a treat for themselves.

One Yr 6 girl came to me after school to give me some money she had saved. Such a big heart!

One mum went the extra mile by making 'peas in a pod' cupcakes with individual messages. So cute and so creative!
